Episode 1 - Lowertown, Complex and Unique Neighbourhood

This first episode of the series paints a general portrait of the Lowertown neighbourhood of Ottawa. Drawing on the perspectives of certain key players, discover its history, its complexities, its uniqueness and all of the challenges that arise from it.

Episode 2 - Food Security

Lowertown is a neighbourhood where the level of poverty is higher than the average. In recent years, the demand for the food bank has intensified and the Lowertown Community Resource Centre is doing what it can to meet the needs of its residents.

Episode 3 - Focus on Youth

A few young people from diverse backgrounds and their mentors discuss the challenges they face in Lowertown. They show a great spirit of initiative in integrating and getting involved in their community

Episode 4 - Building Stronger Communities

In a neighbourhood where cultural diversity is part of its fabric, we discover how necessary it is to develop a sense of belonging for the well-being of the community, whether through an anti-racist committee or a simple gardening activity.

Episode 5 - Aging in Community

Aging in Lowertown presents several challenges for seniors, whether it's a language barrier, isolation or poverty. In meeting a few seniors and representatives of community organizations, discover some of the ways the community is supporting them.
