Episodes

Episode 1 - Malcolm Bussey

Malcolm Bussey is a third-year running back from Hammonds Plains, N.S. and the reigning AUS MVP. His family has a storied history within U SPORTS and his grandfather played football for the X-Men in the 60s. He was a multi-sport athlete growing up and continues to play hockey at a high level during the offseason.

Episode 2 - Felly Elonda

Felly Elonda is a senior midfielder with the Memorial Sea-Hawks men's soccer team who has spent the past few summers playing with the Halifax Wanderers. Born in Congo, he spent three years in a refugee camp in Zimbabwe before moving to St. John's, N.L. at the age of 10.

Episode 3 - Duncan Patterson

The 2022 Russ Jackson Award winner for Student-Athlete Community Service, Duncan Patterson epitomizes Huskies spirit on and off the field. As the Huskies starting quarterback, he is an extension of the coaching staff and one of the top performers in the conference, looking to continue lead the Huskies to new heights in 2023.

Episode 4 - Bianca Helmig

Bianca Helmig is a sophomore on the Acadia University Women's Basketball team. Bianca is from Germany, where she played professional basketball before suiting up for the Axewomen in 2023-24 where she played in 19 games as a freshman.

Episode 5 - Lucy Glen-Carter

When all-star outside hitter Lucy Glen-Carter finished her degree at Acadia University, she didn’t plan to return to the AUS to use her last two years of eligibility. That is until she got into a Masters program at Dalhousie University. Now she’s chasing an 11th consecutive AUS title with her former rivals, the Tigers.

Episode 6 - Emilia Mikanovich & Alena Piatukhova

Emilia Mikanovich and Alena Piatukhova, a pair of international students from Minsk, Belarus, have made a huge impact since joining AUS last January.

Episode 7 - Katie & Grace Richard

Katie and Grace Richard, university cross country runners and identical twins, whose extraordinary bond is at the core of their success both in the classroom and on the course. Through a combination of unwavering support and healthy competition, Katie and Grace push one another to excel academically and athletically, proving that the power of sisterhood can lead to remarkable achievements.

Episode 8 - Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith is a captain and in her fifth and final season with the X-Women's Soccer program where she looks to finish off her decorated career on a strong note. She is currently the all-time leader for career goals and St. FX and 2nd in the AUS conference for goals and points this season.

Episode 9 - Tevin Lewis

A born leader, Tevin has been the bright spot in an otherwise difficult few years at Mount A as the Men’s Soccer team has seen some difficult times. With a new coach and renewed recruitment efforts, Tevin is poised to lead the team in his final year, and will do so alongside his younger brother who will also be dawning the garnet and gold in his rookie season.

Episode 10 - Isaac Nurse

Hailing from a family of athletes, Isaac was born to lead. He was part of Hamilton’s 2018 OHL Championship team and captained the Bulldogs during the 2019-20 season. With the REDS, he has been on two AUS Championship teams and UNB’s 2023 national championship-winning team.

Episode 11 - Carly Smith

Carly Smith is a member of the UNB women's curling team. She is an amputee and uses a prosthetic limb. Carly has won multiple junior tournaments and plays on two curling teams, in addition to being a member of the University of New Brunswick's Curling team. She is attempting to qualify for the Scotties this year.

Episode 12 - Shakael Pryce

Shakael “Shak” Pryce is a fourth-year captain for the Cape Breton University Capers. A transfer from St. Clair College, Shak has been a provincial champion at the high school level and the CCAA level. He brings that championship mindset and attitude to the Capers program that has a history of high scoring, impact guards in the AUS. Shak is in the Bachelor of Business Administration Program at CBU.

Episode 13 - Ekaterina Pelowich

Ekaterina Pelowich is a fourth-year captain on the St. Thomas Tommies women's hockey team. She is one of the hardest working student-athletes coach Peter Murphy has ever had the privilege to coach - giving her all no matter what the situation, in games, practice, the classroom, weight room, or at a community event.

Episode 14 - Samuel Bourque

Samuel Bourque is a very ambitious and hard-working student at the Université de Moncton, both in his studies and in sports. Samuel has won several medals in shot put and hammer throw, as well as Athlete of the Year awards in Track & Field, and holds both the shot put and hammer throw records at the Université de Moncton.
