Set in Prince Edward County, Ontario, this series of documentary shorts explores the reasons, challenges and personal resiliency behind these inspiring life changes and shows how to build a life in a new place called home.

Episode 1

Mel and Paul met in Toronto, working at a restaurant. They always dreamt of opening their own place. Willing to leave the hustle and bustle behind and reconnect with the provincial lifestyles they both grew up in - Mel in Prince Edward County and Paul in the Philippines - they moved to Prince Edward County as soon as there was a job opportunity.

Episode 2

During his theater studies, Aaron started as a temp in a toy company in Toronto. After working for a while, the stress got to him and he decided to take a year off to go volunteering on farms around the world. Little did he know that this break from office life revealed to him a deep calling for farming and a desire to establish himself in Prince Edward County.

Episode 3

Susan is an encaustic artist and Glen is an entrepreneur. One day, a trip to Elora, Ontario inspires them to open their own bed and breakfast. They scout different regions and fall in love with Prince Edward County. They managed the transition in many stages but ended up bringing their business with them while planning their BnB.

Episode 4

Sleiman had to leave Syria at a young age because of the war. After living in Lebanon as refugees for a few years, he and his family are sponsored by residents of Prince Edward County. Sleiman arrives in a small town, not knowing a word of English, but, thanks to the support of incredible local folks, starts his own business in a completely new field.

Episode 5

After a decade of successfully working in the corporate world, Alison needed a change, but doing what? One day, while making a bed with her friend, she realizes that she would make a fantastic BnB hostess. The idea was born!

Episode 6

Joaquim had his own automotive shop in Toronto for decades. Amor was an interior designer. They both felt unfulfilled with what they were doing and were looking to change their course of direction. One night, while drinking wine and browsing for real estate in Prince Edward County, they stumble upon an old farm.
