We invited the communities we work with to share their experience staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch special #StayAtHomeWithMe episodes of the most popular TV1 shows and follow their hosts as they wrestle with the ups and downs of being at home.

Avery can’t hit the open water with her pro-fishing mentors so she’s doing the next best thing – bonding with her brother and sister through shore fishing, and hopefully, teaching them something along the way. Myles hopes Auntie Jillian will stop reminding him to wash his hands. Katrina, from Style Files, gives us a genuine look at home isolation struggles while taking care of her two young boys on her own.

Stay At Home With: Who Runs This Town - Ottawa

Brian Mellersh brings his camera along for a short run through the neighbourhood and finds one of his favorite trails closed due to the COVID 19 physical distancing guidelines. He returns home and invites the audience inside to meet his family and to see what life is like during the lockdown. Brian does his best to play teacher for his daughter and plans some special recess activities. With no school yard playground, recess includes a game of Tic Tac Toe with the family cat, and a hilarious “quarantine haircut” courtesy of his 10 year old daughter. Brian then checks in with a fitness friend, Joshua Fry of OCR Academy in Ottawa. Josh teaches Brian how to use a bedsheet as a home gym suspension system, allowing Brian to take his home workouts up a level. Josh shares some inspiring words, encouraging people to do their best to stay active during these uncertain times. Last up for the family is a staycation camping trip in the basement of their home.
