Episodes
Episode 1
You know what Canadians love to do? Camp! Do you know what Caribbean folks love to do? NOT camp. Jillian embraces her passion for all things Canadian by finding the most Canadian activity she can think of, involving a tent and fire. Myles, Milan and Warren don’t share her interest, at all, but guess what? They’re going to do it. What follows can be simply stated as slightly disastrous.
Episode 2
Warren is the uncontested chef in the family. And he’s tried to pass down his Jamaican cooking heritage to Myles. But now the apprentice feels he can challenge the master for top billing. Myles and Warren both share their secret recipes for jerk chicken as they compete in a high-stakes taste test.
Episode 3
Milan is finally 19 and that means she can legally drink! Oh-oh. Jillian is having trouble coming to terms with her baby becoming and adult and today is the biggest test yet: a massive Caribbean party, with loads of dancing, costumes and, yes, booze. Family tension boils over and there’s a rather unpleasant twist at the end.
Episode 4
Warren says Jamaican men’s hair doesn’t just grow out of their skin – it wraps around their internal organs. So, pulling it out with a special new waxing technique might not be as smooth as you expect. Jillian convinces her man that if he wants to maintain his level of sexy, it involves sugar waxing. And the result is fall-on-the-ground funny.
Episode 5
Back in the old days in Trinidad, if Jillian’s parents looked at her – that was enough of a threat to do some chores. That was then. Today, Jillian’s house has quietly and stealthily become a disaster zone. The epicentres: Myles and Milan’s rooms. They are disgusting and Jillian decides it’s time for a not-so-fun, but very funny family activity. Stand by for dramatic befores-and-afters!
Episode 6
Jillian’s dad is cool, wise and the boss. So, Jillian is a bit intimidated to talk to him about Canada’s new ganja laws. But Myles isn’t intimidated! Not only does Myles talk pot with grandpa, the whole family ends up in a smoky and hilarious chat about the drug associated with the Caribbean – and now legal in Canada! The question is, will anyone actually smoke up? You might be surprised.
Season 2
