My name is Angelica O’Brien, I am a recent film graduate from Trebas Institute in Montreal. I have a passion for filmmaking and photography. At a young age I was always very interested in movies and TV shows, and I grew up wanting to be an actress. I took film at Champlain College, and it was then that I realized that I am not a very talented actress, but that I really enjoyed other aspects of filmmaking, such as writing, directing and editing. I honed my skills in these areas during my time at Trebas, and I am looking to the future to see what it holds for me.

What do you feel are the three key elements of a good TV program?
A good story, a visually interesting setting and a good crew.
If you could produce, direct or edit any movie, which one would it be? And why?
I would like to work on a television series, most likely a cop show like Rookie Blue, or Flashpoint, because I find those types of stories really interesting, also I prefer television series to movies because you have time to develop your stories and characters.
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
The 1950’s, so I could star alongside Carry Grant in his next big movie.
What was the last movie you saw? What did you think about it?
The Kingsmen. I thought it was interesting. It looked visually nice, but the story wasn’t unique. I have seen that same story in many other movies.
What would you sing at a karaoke night?
Girls Just Want to Have Fun

How a professional crew runs things on set.

Working on movie sets; big and small.
