It’s important to follow things that feel right, that get your blood going, even if life’s challenges get in the way. Lishai has a hunger for poetry. Her love for writing began as a child with her obsession of dinosaurs, and has evolved as she became older to include more personal experiences. Listen to her words, and how she finds balance between work and her passion.
What made them realize they wanted to write for the rest of their lives? Joshua Watkiss, Patrick Del Belen, and Patrick Walters, came together to form The Uncharted. Breaking away from the normal spoken word narrative, these young men are exploring the world from their collective personal perspective.
Writing has given him an escape – no one can tell you if you’re right or wrong. Berma is a poet who often thinks outside the box. Originally Berma did not like poetry, but would write little raps or love poems. Eventually his love for the pen evolved into spoken word.
Believing that everyone is put on this planet for a particular reason, he believes writing is part of his purpose. Meet Ian, a local poet that is influenced by not only his personal experiences, but the environment around him.
