Brampton Hockey League
Brampton Hockey League
Every week, Canadians in Brampton come together to play a game that is in their blood – ball hockey. What fueled them to start the Brampton Hockey League, and keep going for so many years? Meet the players, understand their passion, and share in their bond.
Birth of a League
Every Sunday, Canadians flock to a local Brampton tennis court to play ball hockey – a game that is in their blood, fuels competition, promotes their passion, brings friends together, and reveals their emotions. Dan and Gayle’s sons Allan and Erik modestly started this league which has grown bigger than they ever imagined.
What’s Old, is New

G, A, +/-, GWG, SV%, GAA, SOG
A few feet of snow and a thin layer of ice doesn’t stop the BHL from playing. Get to know 15 year BHL member Haris and his hockey loving family. What happened when the league introduced stats to their games?
The Second Tournament
The players arrive eager to fight for the trophy once again. Can the reigning champs hold onto first place, or will another team be able to rise to the challenge and take them down?
Being a new parent, Paul’s priorities have shifted from being a hockey player to being a daddy. But those rare Sundays when he can play, he really cherishes those moments. Having recently finished his PhD thesis about immigration, Paul has always wondered why hockey is so important to Canadians.
Chicks and Tattoos
The wives and girlfriends of the BHL are also affected by the league. When they get together they enjoy each other’s company, talk about their dreams, and what they hope will come out of all that time spent with the BHL. BHL members take their love of the game to a whole new level – tattoos!
Old Man Pasic
A part of the league since the beginning, Pasic embraces the league by acting as an ambassador, welcoming everyone. Playing for twenty years, it has taken a toll on his body. But with the third and final BHL tournament around the corner, Pasic is ready to win.
The Final Tournament
A record setting thirty players show up for the last tournament of the season. As usual, the teams are assigned by randomly throwing sticks. Who will make it to the semi-finals?
David VS Goliath
